Every month, I will interview for you a personality who has a deep interest for France or the French culture.

Féfé - french singer

"LA MINUTE" INTERVIEW WITH FEFE - FRENCH SINGER

One the occasion of one of the most beautiful French festivals in Melbourne, So Frenchy So Chic, I had the privilege to interview Féfé, French singer and rapper, born in France to parents of Nigerian origin. In each of his songs, Féfé delivers a message based on his experience, making his own difference. it's for the fifth time that Féfé came to Australia and we do hope he will come again to share with us modern French music.

Jonathan Zaccaï

WITH JONATHAN ZACCAI FROM "LE BUREAU DES LEGENDES"

Are you looking for a new series, one that makes you hold your breath, that feels so close to reality that you become addicted to your screen? Times change and between Netflix, Stan or replays on internet, we have completely changed the way we consume TV.

We have a lot of choices with romantic, funny or suspense-filled series. Recently I have been captivated by a French one created by Eric Rochant (influenced by my girls as it’s often the case if you understand what I mean), that you can see in France on the channel Canal + or even in Australia on SBS.

Gad Elmaleh

ENTRE GAD ELMALEH ET FREN'CHIC TOUCH...

“Let’s do it”, just three words in English from Gad answering one of my messages on Instagram and voilà, we set up a phone meeting in few days for an interview on the blog.

It all started when I found out that Gad Elmaleh, the big star of comedy in France, was planning to come to Australia as part of the festival Just For Laughs. (tickets on sale now).

Many French people, including myself, adore the Gad’s humour. I saw him during a show in Marseille and I can’t get enough of it. Gad is the mate that you would love to have and for French people he’s the mate with whom you can be assured of having fun and serious giggles with. You just have to watch some of Gad’s sketches to pick yourself up. It’s often the case for me on the other side of the world here in Melbourne.

ENTRE FLORIANE EZNACK ET MOI...

Bienvenue Floriane Eznack en Australie. It’s an honour to welcome you. Let me tell you that I’m very impressed to see a woman oenologist, wine maker, chef de cave. I have read that you love communication and sharing your passion about the Champagne Jacquart. I think we are going to have a lot of fun.

Sophie-Charlotte Husson

SOPHIE CHARLOTTE HUSSON, FRENCH ACTRESS AND SINGER... THE ABSOLUTE FEMININITY

I got a text message from a French friend in Melbourne saying “you have to watch the TV series “Hôtel de la plage” on France 2, French TV channel, it’s the type of French series you like … you are going to love it". So, here I am connected on my computer, in couch mode, with a glass of red wine and relaxed, ready to devour this series. Indeed I adore it. I find all the characters touching and they all make me laugh in their own way but I am especially moved by Isabelle’s character played by Sophie-Charlotte Husson.

Luc Lesenecal - SEO Saint-James

ENTRE LUC LESENECAL ET FREN’CHIC TOUCH

During the Life Instyle trade show in Melbourne, Luc Lesenecal, CEO of Saint James since 2012, took advantage of the event to share his experience with his new distributor in Australia. For French people, no need to introduce the brand to you because almost everyone knows the marinières that Saint James has produced in Normandy since 1889 (read the article "How the French got their stripes").

While talking with Luc Lesenecal, you quickly notice how much this man is attached to the Normandy region, to French know-how, and to products made in France. For this man with years of hands-on experience, exportation has become one of the main objectives of this prestigious company.

ENTRE GONTRAN CHERRIER ET MOI...

Artisan Boulanger - baker (I do love the word “artisan” which highlights the uniqueness of a savoir-faire – know how), pâtissier, host on French TV, author of various culinary books, Gontran Cherrier cannot go unnoticed when he opens his first bakery in Melbourne. I had the pleasure to have an interview with Gontran Cherrier, an absolutely lovely man Mesdames and also very sexy sorry Messieurs. But let’s focus on the bakery…

Daizy Blu

CRAZY HORSE PARIS, RENDEZ-VOUS WITH DAIZY BLU

Having been invited to the show "Forever Crazy" by the Crazy Horse Paris, I can already tell you that it is forever feminine, forever artistic and forever sensual. Some of you may have reservations about it because after all it’s a show of nude women matching their subtle leg movements with tantalising light and visual effects. But everything is in the nuance ; nudity doesn’t always mean vulgarity and in this case nudity becomes an art which you let yourself be carried away. You are quickly captivated after you hear the first notes of music. "Forever Crazy" was created like a tribute to Alain Bernardin, founder of this Parisian cabaret. This show is a highlight of the various shows, to the program the new creations signed by the French choregraph Philippe Decouflé.

Paul Taylor

ENTRE PAUL TAYLOR ET FREN’CHIC TOUCH

What the fuck guys? I interviewed Paul Taylor. Sorry for my French but with Paul Taylor you need to get used to his humour and let me tell you’ll enjoy it so much.

Paul Taylor is British and an unusual Brit as he has lived in France for 8 years sharing his life with his French wife Adeline. This comedian became especially popular on the French TV Channel Canal+ by laughing and mocking us, French people, and you know what we forgive him because we looove it. In 3 minutes sharp, he mocks everything, our terraces, our obsession about translating American movies, our habit to “faire la bise” (kiss on the cheeks)… and quite frankly we can only laugh.
